The Story

The Context

Impactable operates in one of the most competitive categories in B2B marketing.

LinkedIn Ads has become a critical growth channel for B2B companies, yet much of the content surrounding it remains repetitive, high-level, and disconnected from real campaign performance.

Impactable had something most competitors couldn’t easily replicate: direct access to insights from more than 150 managed LinkedIn Ads accounts, alongside the technology and expertise behind DemandSense.

The opportunity was clear, but so was the challenge: how do you turn proprietary expertise into category authority, and category authority into demand?

The Objective

The goal was not to “start a podcast.” It was to build a system that could:

  • Establish category authority in LinkedIn Ads
  • Educate the market with practical, usable insights
  • Support demand generation for DemandSense
  • Create a repeatable, scalable content engine

This required shifting from content as output to content as infrastructure.

The Insight That Shaped the Strategy

The gap in the market wasn’t a lack of information. It was a lack of evidence.

Most LinkedIn Ads content tells marketers what they should do. Far less demonstrates what’s actually working, why it works, and what the data reveals.

Impactable had a structural advantage: insights drawn from more than 150 LinkedIn Ads accounts. The strategy was to turn that advantage into a content moat, building a body of knowledge that would be difficult to replicate without comparable hands-on experience.

The Strategic Shift

Instead of building a general marketing podcast, we positioned the show around one clear idea: be the most trusted source for LinkedIn Ads insights, grounded in real campaign data.

This led to three key decisions:

  • Narrow the focus: No broad marketing discussions. Every episode ties back to LinkedIn Ads performance, strategy, or execution.
  • Prioritise operators over commentators: Guests are people doing the work, not just talking about it.
  • Replace opinions with evidence: Content is anchored in data, patterns, and real outcomes.

The Execution Model

We built a structured content system designed for both depth and distribution.

Content Layer

  • Tactical, insight-led conversations
  • Real campaign breakdowns
  • “Myths vs Reality” episodes to challenge common assumptions

Guest Strategy

  • CMOs, growth leaders, and operators
  • People with direct experience managing or scaling campaigns

Production System

  • Consistent publishing cadence
  • Repeatable episode structure
  • Clear positioning across all content

From the outset, the content resonated because it respected the audience’s intelligence. It was practical, direct, and immediately useful.

The Inflection Point

The biggest shift in performance came from one decision: treat YouTube as the primary channel, not a secondary one.

This changed how content was created and distributed. We implemented:

  • Strong hooks that deliver value immediately
  • Structured episodes optimised for retention
  • Consistent publishing to build momentum
  • Short-form clips to drive discovery

This turned each episode into a long-term asset rather than a one-time release.

From Content to Engine

What emerged was not just a podcast but a system:

Each layer feeds the other. Content compounds instead of resetting every week.

The Impact

Impactable now has:

  • A repeatable content engine built on proprietary data
  • A scalable distribution system driven by YouTube

More importantly, the podcast is beginning to influence outcomes that matter:

  • Stronger personal brand authority for Justin in LinkedIn Ads
  • Increased engagement from high-intent marketers
  • Ongoing visibility beyond initial release windows

This directly supports the original goal: consistency and momentum.

What This Actually Means

The feedback is not just about satisfaction. It signals three things:

  • The system is operationally sustainable
  • The content is aligned with audience expectations
  • Distribution is starting to create real traction

Strategic Takeaways

  • Specificity builds authority. A focused position creates a clearer reason for the audience to pay attention than another broad marketing show.
  • Proprietary knowledge is a competitive advantage. The value isn’t simply having access to data. It’s translating that knowledge into insights that help an audience make better decisions.
  • Distribution belongs in the strategy from day one. YouTube and short-form content give each episode multiple opportunities to reach its intended audience.
  • Consistency compounds. A repeatable publishing cadence, clear positioning, and coherent content structure create the foundations for sustained growth.

Final Insight

LinkedIn AdWise wasn’t built around producing more content for the sake of it. It was built around making Impactable’s expertise more visible, more accessible, and more valuable to the market.

By combining a differentiated editorial position with a structured production and distribution system, Fame is helping turn that expertise into a repeatable platform for authority, audience growth, and future demand generation.

The goal isn’t just to publish a podcast. It’s to build a content asset that becomes more valuable with every episode.

Testimonial
“Getting those published on YouTube and you guys doing that, that’s been really great. I’m happy with the YouTube and podcast distribution, and I firmly believe this is helping us build greater visibility and a deeper content library over time.”
