The Story
BEMO helps small and medium-sized government contractors become secure and compliant by implementing Microsoft 365 Government solutions and trusted GRC platforms such as Drata and Vanta. Its approach is security-first: helping clients build genuine protection and operational readiness rather than treating compliance as a checkbox exercise.
Government contracting compliance is crowded and noisy. BEMO wanted to stand out as a trusted authority in the SMB government contractor compliance space, educate its audience, strengthen relationships with key ecosystem partners, and turn credibility into qualified business opportunities.
The original launch target was 1,000 downloads in Q1. The podcast reached that target within its first 48 hours, giving the team an early signal that the subject matter and positioning were resonating.
We built Trust Issues around BEMO’s strongest differentiator: credible practitioners with real experience. The show initially leaned on BEMO’s internal experts, then expanded into a guest-led format supported by a multi-channel outreach pipeline designed to maintain cadence and bring relevant voices into the BEMO ecosystem.
The guest strategy was deliberately commercial without making the podcast feel like a sales vehicle. The aim was to create useful conversations with people BEMO genuinely wanted relationships with, while using the show to deepen authority around CMMC, cybersecurity, compliance and, increasingly, AI governance.
We also used the wider Fame network to create strategic connections. This included Adam Markowitz, CEO of Drata, one of BEMO’s key GRC platform partners, creating an episode that aligned the content strategy with an important ecosystem relationship.
The launch target was surpassed almost immediately, but the more important story is what happened after launch. From March through September 2026, the programme recorded 87,538 total reported downloads across the monthly tracker.
September alone delivered 18,022 downloads against a 6,064 goal, almost three times the monthly target.
Audience depth improved alongside reach. In the latest 28-day YouTube reporting window, the channel achieved:
- 1,151.7 hours of watch time
- 10:00 average view duration, up 31.5% from the previous period
- +295 net subscribers
By the end of September, the podcast had 1,123 followers across tracked platforms, including 1,084 YouTube subscribers.
The content is also showing clear topic-market fit. High-performing long-form episodes included:
- “Your AI Policy Won’t Save You”: 3,604 views and 373.3 hours of watch time
- “CMMC, Whistleblowers and the Cost of Lying”: 3,182 views, 476.4 hours of watch time and a 14:08 average view duration
The strongest themes combine technical depth with clear business risk and consequences.

The clearest example of direct business value came from guest outreach. Nicholas Bakewell was invited onto the podcast as an external guest. The conversation developed into a professional relationship, and he subsequently joined BEMO as a contract worker.
That outcome demonstrated the value of the podcast beyond audience metrics. The show created a reason to start a high-trust conversation with a relevant industry professional, gave both sides space to establish credibility, and helped turn a content interaction into a tangible business relationship.
The guest pipeline has continued to mature. By the beginning of October, BEMO had:
- 10 external interviews recorded
- 6 external guest interviews published
- 2 additional upcoming interviews booked
- 1 further pre-interview in the pipeline
- 12 interviews booked in total since outreach began
This matters because the podcast is no longer functioning only as a content channel. It is also creating structured access to experts, partners and potential collaborators in BEMO’s market, while giving the brand a credible platform for conversations that would be harder to initiate through traditional outbound alone.
Trust Issues now delivers:
- Launch goal achieved in 48 hours: the original Q1 goal of 1,000 downloads was reached within the first two days of launch
- 87,538 reported downloads from March to September, with September reaching 18,022 downloads against a 6,064 goal
- A guest who became a contractor: Nicholas Bakewell’s appearance developed into a professional relationship and he subsequently joined BEMO as a contract worker
- Stronger YouTube engagement: watch time reached 1,151.7 hours in the latest 28-day window and average view duration rose to 10 minutes, showing that viewers are staying for the technical depth
- A growing owned audience: tracked followers reached 1,123 by the end of September, including 1,084 YouTube subscribers, while the 3,000-subscriber year-end objective remains in progress
- Strategic ecosystem access: guests such as Drata CEO Adam Markowitz have helped BEMO strengthen relationships with organisations already important to its compliance ecosystem
Most importantly, Trust Issues has become a repeatable relationship engine. The strongest result is not a single download number. It is that the podcast is giving BEMO a credible reason to get the right people into the room, while building an audience that increasingly stays for the depth of the conversation.
“What I love about Fame: transparent reporting and clear goals from day one, constant fresh ideas to boost audience engagement, and great editing that makes our workload much lighter.”
