When we hire at Fame, we are not looking for the finished article.
Every person running this company today started as an entry-level Account Manager. They came in at the bottom, learned the work by doing it, and now run the business. That is not a nice story we tell at Christmas. It is the plan.
We get more than 1,000 applications a month now. We are 69 people speaking 13 languages, all remote, making podcasts for Workday, Alibaba, eToro and IDEO. None of that has changed how we hire.
We do not track your hours. We do not ask where you are working from. There are no timesheets and nobody is going to babysit you.
We judge the work instead.
That cuts both ways. You get freedom, real downtime, and a say in where your career goes. You also get responsibility earlier than most companies would hand it over, and nowhere to hide when something is yours.
Plenty of people do not want to work like that. That is completely fine.
But if you have been waiting for someone to trust you and get out of your way, you might be one of us.
