Who is Becky?

Becky Morrison is a mom, wife and lawyer turned Happiness Coach. Her mission is to spread joy. She believes most people can live happier, easier lives if they get clear on what matters most to them and then develop a plan to do more of that and less of the rest. If she can help enable people to find clarity and happiness then everyone wins.

People and processes are at the heart of the work that she has done for the last 20+ years in corporations, law firms – as both a lawyer and administrator – and small businesses. Now she’s using that experience coupled with her own journey to help people supercharge their success and happiness by: finding clarity; taking the next steps in their career; overcoming overwhelm; going from idea to action; and, stepping into their authentic leadership presence.

Becky brings together all her learnings in her recently published book ‘The Happiness Recipe: A Powerful Guide to Living What Matters’.

Becky also comes from a basketball family – her husband is a basketball coach and both her kids play as well.

The Happiness Recipe: A Powerful Guide to Living What Matters

To find your recipe for happiness, you need to know what matters most to you; have strong beliefs to support taking the necessary next steps; and actually do the kinds of things you want to, while letting go of the rest. You also need to be willing to share your desires with the world–something that is often challenging.

This is where The Happiness Recipe comes in.

The Happiness Recipe is a grounded, approachable, and tactical guide to finding joy. By sharing the tools necessary for understanding what matters most to your happiness, Rebecca Morrison gives you the key to believing in and achieving the kind of happiness that is possible for everyone.

What Your Audience Could Learn
How do you identify your essential sources of happiness?

Most individuals struggle with digging past the surface of what brings them happiness. We all have these essential sources of happiness that can only be found through introspection and self-awareness.

On your podcast, Becky can speak about how we can develop that sense of awareness so that you can find happiness even in the most difficult circumstances or more happiness overall.

The formula for "Maximum Happiness"

Many entrepreneurs and business leaders struggle to find happiness whilst balancing work and life. Becky’s advice is simple, “Do more of what matters and let go of the rest”, but it isn’t that easy to implement.

Becky can share her formula that has helped many high potential leaders overcome their happiness gaps. This is life changing advice, which Becky can demonstrate through numerous personal and professional examples.

What season are you in right now?

In Becky’s book, she shares her belief that life is a series of seasons – and that sometimes the tension we have between how we are living and our happiness stems from a failure to recognize the season that we are in. Put another way, instead of aiming to eventually be able to be happy in life, perhaps we should aim to be as happy as possible in each season of our lives.

This understanding has had a profound effect on Becky and many of her client’s lives. Becky can share how you shouldn’t fight the seasons and the questions you need to ask yourself to identify the season you are in.

Are you saying “No” enough?

We’ve all been there. That feeling of complete overwhelm and too much to do, when you say ‘Yes’ to every opportunity that comes towards you.

On your podcast, Becky can share the framework that she has developed, which helps untangle the mess of your to do list so you can make intelligent decisions on what to let go of and then make better decisions moving forward. It helps to remind yourself that you are not saying no to a person, you are in fact saying yes to your priorities.

Inviting the nervous system to be a partner in your process.

Just like ignoring the engine light in your car for too long can lead to disastrous consequences, ignoring the physical cues that you experience on a day to day basis when faced with limiting beliefs or fears, can lead to a lifetime of regret.

Becky can discuss that when you start to tune into that mind / body connection to evaluate where the feeling is coming from and then feeding your nervous system with more data, you can begin to address it and move forward in a more productive way.

Authenticity is the new presence.

Oftentimes, emerging leaders want to develop leadership presence, but struggle to know exactly what to do. Becky believes that you must start with understanding who you are as a leader and overcoming your limiting beliefs before developing the skills, confidence and authenticity to find your voice.

Becky can share how her clients have learnt to acknowledge these limiting beliefs, worked through them and built a mental case to prove to themselves that they are in fact the ideal, capable leader that they need to be.
