4 Ways To Get Invited Onto Podcasts As A Guest

Here are 4 main ways to get booked onto podcasts:

💥 Build a strong personal brand and get invited every week

Jason Vana does this really well…

He’s one of the most consistent content creators on LinkedIn.

And it shows.

He receives tons of podcast invitations every month.

It’s not easy (or fast) to reach Jason’s level but it’s worth striving towards it.

The only downside is that you can’t really influence the quality of the shows you appear on without doing your own outreach.

💥 Reach out to the podcasts yourself

Whether you’re an individual or a brand, you can do all the heavy lifting yourself.

Yep, it’ll take a lot of time and effort but you’ll be able to secure some bookings.

Tom Hunt recently shared the numbers in one of his posts.

In less than 6 weeks, he booked himself on quite a few podcasts.

The downside is that, if done yourself, you’ll need to do the research, outreach, follow-up, and scheduling on your own.

💥 Hire an agency or a freelancer to secure bookings for you

If you want to approach podcast guesting strategically without sacrificing too much of your time, consider this option.

Good agencies are nurturing the relationships with hosts and also do all the heavy lifting for you.

The downside is that it, of course, comes with a cost. But if you choose wisely, you can expect a consistent flow of podcast invitations.

💥 Wait passively for podcast invitations to come

If you don’t work on your brand and don’t do the outreach yourself, you’ll be waiting for a long time.

Even very successful founders might receive just one or two podcast invitations. There’s simply an abundance of guests that are more visible.

Maybe podcast guesting is not a priority (and that’s okay).

But if you want to take podcasts more seriously, stay away from this option.

1. Build a personal brand, get invited often
2. Do the outreach on your own
3. Hire an agency or a freelancer
4. Wait passively without doing anything
