Glossary
B2B influencer marketing, defined
The terms used when buying and measuring sponsored LinkedIn posts, including the metrics Fame reports on every campaign.
- Blended CPM
- Total spend across all placements divided by total impressions, multiplied by 1,000. It averages every placement, so one viral post cannot hide weak ones. Fame reports it monthly against LinkedIn Ads benchmarks.
- Creator placement
- One sponsored post on one creator's own LinkedIn profile. At Fame, the brief and the brand's approval are included.
- Engagement pod
- A group of people who agree to like and comment on each other's posts, which inflates engagement without reaching real buyers. A comment farm does much the same at larger scale.
- ICP engagement rate
- The share of people engaging with a post who match the brand's ideal customer profile. Fame calls this ICP-engagement %.
- LinkedIn Creator Marketplace
- LinkedIn's tool for brands to discover and contact creators. As of November 2026 it is in alpha, in North America and in English only.
- Named engagers
- The people who interacted with a sponsored post, listed by company and role so sales can act on them.
- Thought Leader Ads
- A LinkedIn ad format that pays to amplify a post published from a person's profile, instead of from a company page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Fame reports named engagers, ICP-engagement % and blended CPM, because together they show who engaged, whether they are buyers and what the reach cost.
