“I think that people really drastically underestimate, and I've been guilty of this many times, how important continual, regular customer conversations are. You need to make sure that you are remaining in touch with what it is that they want to be hearing from you, and what is actually needed by them.”

Camille Ricketts is operating partner & head of marketing at XYZ, where she closely advises companies, leads select investments, and helps the firm reach the best prospective founders. In particular, she provides deep domain expertise to startups at key inflection points so they succeed at launching, fundraising, and building strong go-to-market plans.

Prior, she was the first marketing leader at Notion, joining when the team was 10 people, and building to $10 billion in value and 5.5 million weekly active users.

Five years earlier, she became First Round Capital's first Head of Content & Marketing, founding and editing industry publication First Round Review, read by over 500,000 each month. Before that, she managed communications for Tesla Motors and reported for The Wall Street Journal. She has her BA from Stanford University.
