Are You Ready To Speak On Podcasts?

BY FAME

Not everyone should speak on podcasts…

That's the truth.

So how to decide if you're ready?

💥 First, you should have a unique point of view

When you talk to your peers, you can bring something new to the table.

Maybe you disagree with their approach and can explain why.

Maybe you do something differently.

Or maybe you just think about the same stuff in a different way.

The point is, you're not repeating what everyone else in your industry is saying.

(Which is very common, especially in the B2B marketing space nowadays)

You're simply not afraid to be different.

💥 You are willing to share your knowledge

This comes down to having either scarcity or abundance mindset.

If you think that sharing your whole process will cost you business opportunities, that's a completely wrong way of thinking.

Instead, understand this:

The main goal of your podcast appearance is to position yourself as an expert.

Justin Rowe does this well on LinkedIn.

He shares EVERYTHING, step-by-step.

Yes, some people will just take it and do it themselves.

But those are not your customers.

Your ideal customers are willing to pay. And to pay, they need to TRUST that you know your stuff.

Share everything. Go all in.

💥 You have other things going on

Podcast guesting works the best if you use it with other channels.

Yes, you can make your interviews a cornerstone of your strategy but without other channels to distribute your episodes, you're leaving so much on the table.

Our most successful B2B customers are the ones that already have a presence on social media.

Not only that it makes them easier to book on bigger shows but they see quicker results because they already have an engaged audience they can talk to.

👇

Soooo…

Out of these 3 things, the first one is the most important.

No one wants to listen to another episode about a generic topic that everyone talked about 100's of times.

Be unique and don't be afraid to stand out.
