Meet Alex Svinov. As the CEO & Co-Founder of Insquad, he shares how tech startups can find developers 4X faster, build remote-first teams, and why he escaped Russia in under 24 hours.
Alex is the CEO and Co-founder of Insquad, the platform to build remote development teams. He believes that the future of work is in remote teams – and this notion will radically change the world as it will bring opportunity and talent closer to each other.
Alex launched Insquad one year ago because he faced challenges hiring senior tech talents for his previous startup. He tried staffing services, but there were expensive and did not give a lot of value to him as a startup. So he decided to solve this problem and help the startup community as well as offer great opportunities to the talents in underprivileged countries.
Now, Insquad holds an 80%+ interview-to-hire rate and worked with over 300 tech startups
Alex is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor — 10+ investments in IT companies all over the world — Forbes council member, and Alchemist mentor.
In the past 10 years, he has created several successful startups in industry areas that he had no experience in before — FinTech, outsourcing, HRTech, and food service. He is passionate about making new tech products and services and helping distributed teams achieve their goals.
Alex met with Bill Clinton and Queen Elizabeth in Moscow’s high school. Outside of work, he’s a father of 3, plays tennis and regularly participates in amateur tournaments.

Alex has experienced his portion of success already. From orchestrating billion-dollar IPOs to co-founding 4 successful companies. Due to Russia’s recent conflict, Alex’s whole startup had to relocate to Armenia. Many challenges stood in the way, but this transition has given a strong boost to go global.
On your podcast, Alex can share the lessons he learned while relocating his business in just 24 hours. Specifically, how this displacement has helped his startup to go global in no time. He can share the inner workings of startups. He’ll explain why it takes a market opportunity, a team around you, effort, plus tech, and an ounce of luck when hiring to be successful.
Although there are lots of top-notch developers out there, it’s hard to find a suitable one in the shortest possible time. On average, a startup spends 2 months and 60 hours on finding the right one. It doesn’t take much time to find candidates, but it takes too much time to look through hundreds of responses and analyze them.
On your podcast, Alex can talk about how he shortens the recruitment process for hiring the right high-quality developers. Specifically, why identifying the developer’s mindset and experience is key to saving time on sourcing and screening CVs. He’ll share how he gauges the width of knowledge by observing problem-solving with an efficient and trustworthy technical testing system.
Demand for IT and technology jobs has been growing for decades. After Covid, we saw a seismic shift that has led to a surge in recruitment that has been hard to keep up with. Especially the tech sector when hiring developers. They want remote work without relocation, a salary sufficient for a family, flextime, and an international team. To meet their needs, companies need to shift their mindset and know-how to navigate cultural differences.
On your podcast, Alex can talk about how he leverages untapped global talent by connecting developers from around the world to US companies. Specifically, why online recruitment and remote work allow for international talent to flourish. He’ll share how to find the best talent that fits your company culture and his experience navigating different communication and expectations needs from hiring hundreds of developers worldwide.
