Who is Brian?

Brian Fritton has built products and led engineering, design, and IT teams at companies with credentials such as Fortune’s 500 Fastest Growing Companies, the Inc. 5000 List, and Entrepreneur’s 100 Most Brilliant Companies.

He’s been the “guy in the hot seat” — responsible for defending a small business from cyberattacks — as a FinTech CTO at Patch of Land and the VP of Engineering for a critical political campaign and enterprise data science software maker. Brian brings the founder’s perspective to cybersecurity in an increasingly complicated and risk-filled environment.

Brian is originally from the woods of northwest Michigan and got his bachelor’s degree in e-business from DePaul University, where he spent more time experimenting with different businesses than going to class. He moved back to Chicago to start Havoc Shield after building his previous LA-based startup into a crowdfunding machine, having originated over a billion dollars in real estate loans and a successful exit. He’s married, has too many pets, and lives in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago.

What Your Audience Could Learn
Should small startups care about cybersecurity?

Did you know that the average cost of a ransomware attack is $500k? For most small businesses and startups, this means they go out of business. And even if they can afford to pay the ransom, the reputation damage is permanent. For that reason, more than 60% of small businesses & startups never survive the attack. Scary statistics.

On your podcast, Brian can share why cybersecurity is not only for the big players as 43% of attacks target brands under 500 employees. He’ll share easy-to-apply strategies that can literally save the businesses of your listeners.

Case Study: Winning Fortune 50 deals fast through cyber security compliance

When it comes to working with the world’s biggest companies, many aspects come into the picture. Although your product or service is top-notch, not meeting some requirements (incl. cybersec) of your potential customers can significantly prolong the sales process or even kill the deal entirely.

On your podcast, Brian can share the story of helping multiple businesses exceed cybersecurity requirements, so they could focus on delivering high-quality solutions. He’ll cover everything from penetration testing, setting up the right antivirus, or even educating the staff on what NOT to do.

Cybersecurity 101: How startups can be more secure in 2021 and beyond

There are three types of founders: The ones that take cybersecurity seriously, the ones that want to be compliant to win the deal, and the ones that don’t care about it at all. Unfortunately, many founders still think that cybersecurity is a nice-to-have thing or that they’re not in danger.

According to Brian, it’s not a question of IF but a question of WHEN your company will be attacked. On your podcast, he can share the 3-step process your listeners can apply to protect their business and sleep better at night. On top of that, he will share advice on how to be more secure tomorrow, without any investments or expensive cyber-sec consultants.

Gain a competitive edge with cybersecurity

Trust & credibility play a huge factor during the buyer’s journey. But can cybersecurity increase your chances of winning a deal or converting more website visitors? According to Brian, it can.

On your podcast, he can share how something as simple as putting a cybersecurity badge on your website increases conversion rate by more than 5%. And that’s just one of the underleveraged strategies. On top of that, he will share how being cyber-compliant helped his customers win 7-figure deals with Facebook, Microsoft, the US government, and other F500’s and how your listeners can do the same.
